Farm Advisory & Management Service (FAMS) Unit
Farm Advisory and Management Service FAMS) was established to assist the Kenyan farmer to undertake farming as a business activity. The unit provides the following to the farmer.
Consultancy Service
- Training: AI technicians, farm planning and budgeting.
- AI services: sale of semen ( local and imported)
- Clinical services e.g. treatment, pregnancy diagnosis test (PDS)
- Feed formulation and feeding guidelines
- Modern crop husbandry techniques
- Pasture establishments and management
- Silage and hay making
- Laboratory services: feed analysis, moisture testing and soil PH testing
- Animal nutrition management
- Animal breeding management
- Management of agricultural machinery
Recruitment of Farm Managers
ADC will recruit and train managers within ADC farms for a period before recommending them to the farmer.
Provision of Technical / Advisory Services
This is done through specialized technical staff on livestock, crops and machinery.

Dairy meal, Dairy young stock meal, Dairy early weaner, Beef finisher, Pig feed, Chicken feeds, Citrus seedlings, Rhodes grass hay, Lucerne hay, Breeding animals
Management Through Secondment of a Manager
This involves management of the farms by ADC in partnership with the owner. ADC will second a farm manager to the farm on behalf of the owner.
Direct Management of Farms
ADC will take over the Farm and run it as one of its Units.
